Male Baldness Info

I’m in the early stages of male pattern baldness … too early for a transplant and I’m at too high of a risk for side-effects to be on medication. My question is, are hair extensions an option? Is it possible to attach extensions with some type of glue or sew them into areas where there is no hair? All I really want is longer hair in the front, so what cost can I expect to pay?
