Itchy Head!!!! Help!?
Posted by adminAbout a month or so ago, I realized that my hair was thinning in the front, so I went to a Dermo. He said that it was probably male pattern baldness, but that my scalp was pretty dry, so he gave me this shampoo called Ketoconazole. I’ve been using it everyday (like he said), since, and my head improved, but now the past few days it has been extremely itchy. I told my mom to look at it and she said that it looks better than before, and not irritated or anything. It’s a really bad itch that feels like its going right down the middle of my scalp, and I don’t know why. I just took a shower, too.
I’m a 17 year old male, and I’ve also been taking GNC Nourishair vitamins and eating a ton of protein. My hair’s thickness has improved, but I want to get rid of this itch!
Thanks!

1.make sure not to itch the scalp
2.it’s porob. from the shampoo. u should try using it everyother day. u shouldnt use shampoo everyday. then mak sure u use a good conditioner everyay
good luck
well have u thought of shampoo??? if u have tried check it for lice or dandruff and then use the appropriate solution. and anti-lice for lice and an anti-dandruff for dandruff. simple!! hope ur heads fine soon
if you have an itchy head the idea is to use more conditinor than shampoo cuz shampoo has acid chemicals the burn bacteria on your scalp and it burns the head tissue off but conditinor miostures it up
U have dandruff, which causes your scalp to be try and itchy, Try head and shoulders dandruff shampoo.
My brother used to have this prob. and was prescribed all different shampoos that didn’t work.He found that head and shoulders worked best for him you could also try denorex.
stop using the products. its probably dry, dead skin on your head. use head and shoulders, a really good shampoo that can cure ur problem.
sometimes the change in the weather makes my head itch but usuaully not that much
Do u have lice?
dandruff……..maybe not
it could be a infection……. are you sure you’re not allergic with something in that GNC hair thing
The chemicals in the shampoo may be too powerful, and if you clean your hair everyday, you’re exposing your scalp to that formula too often.
Cut down your hair washes. And it’s possible that you developed dandruff, so the itching may be associating to dry flakes.
i am a female and my scalp gets itchy (but no hair loss) and i use T-Sal it helps with dandruff, itchiness, & redness of the scalp! ask your doctor if you can use this along with your perscription shampoo then this should help!!
GOOD LUCK!~
my firiend had that, she just combed out her hair really good, and took showers every night and when she put on her shampoo, she really scrubed it in. Try that for a couple days, or a week, and I bet you will feel better.
