Male Baldness Info

ok so my mother passed away 2 years ago when i was 16. it was a hard time in my life and apparently because of the shock i lost a lot of hair. it has been 2 years now and i am taking medication for it but my full thick hair isn’t coming back. i mean i do have hair but it kinda looks like i have male pattern baldness cause its gone in some places and this does not have a history of occurring in the females of my family. (i am a girl btw) so my question is what can i do to make my hair look fuller(the strands are still thick but i jus don’t have a lot of hair on my scalp) what products should i use/ how should i style my medium length hair?
i am very insecure about it right now cause when i put it in a ponytail its soooo tiny and when i leave it open it parts in a million places and looks bad. so pleeeassssse help me!
