Male Baldness Info

I straightened my hair for about a year with an iron. I am a 16 year old, male, athletic, healthy. I have recently shaved my head to a number 3 and the hair seems to be not AS thin, BUT it is still thin on the top of my head (crown area) the rest of my hair is very healthy. I am worried that I might be going bald , there are NO signs of baldness on my mothers side of the family. WHAT SHOULD I DO! AM I GOING BALD? help me please.

If not, how often can I straighten my hair without causing too much damage in the future? I already have quite straight but thick hair and I just like the texture of my hair after straightening it, so I don’t really hold the tongs on it for too long.
