Does Knowing This Make You Angry?

Beef contains estrogen and progesterone as growth stimulants–they use IMPLANT systems simlar to Norplant birth control. These hormones are not intended for breeding animals because quite frankly–there’s enough hormones being placed in their systems to make breeding impossible. In a nutshell, beef is on birth control to gain a few lousy pounds….like about 20lbs on a 600lb animail–which hardly seems worth the risk…it’s not like they’re even increasing their weight by 5%.
In case someone’s not aware, estrogen is a FEMALE hormone which in excess is potent enough to mess with a woman’s gynacological health, cause irregular periods, infertility, weight gain, strokes and is also very well known to cause cancer. It could also lead to the efiminization in MALES and the last time I looked, Cowboys shouldn’t be sporting a pair of boobs…..I’m just saying. If you think that’s crazy, fish populations are already becoming efiminized from the amount of estrogen in our water supply from women taking birth control pills and peeing—water treatment doesn’t always remove the presence of hormones from the water supply.
Pork is given something called Ractopamine hydrochloride. It has not been thoroughly tested on humans and they are trying to get it legalized for use on other livestock. In animals, it causes baldness, tachycardia, and other heart problems–mmm, yummy.
Chicken –while the industry openly brags relentlessly that the use of hormones in our chicken was banned decades ago because it was unsafe for human consumption (but somehow hormones are safe for beef now?) is given a bunch of antibiotics, some of which have a unique side effect of increasing their weight. The undiscriminating use of antibiotics is a dangerous game–they should only be administered if absolutely necessary as their effectiveness against the bacteria they’re fighting will continue to decrease over time.
The European Commission refused to buy beef from Canada due to the use of hormones in the beef–HORMONES in Europre are ILLEGAL and completely banned–so Canada and likely the US, ships THEM beef that is hormone free, yet consumers in North America are left in the dark about what they’re eating and not given a choice.
Does knowing this information infuriate you enough to DEMAND that the use of completely unnecessary hormones and other stimulants be stopped?
If not, why not?

Does A Shaved Head Make You Look Younger Or Atleast Age That You Are If You Balding Is Significant?

Monday, September 7th, 2009

I am 20 years old and it is obvious that i’m experiencing male pattern baldness because half of my frontal hairline is gone and a bald spot about the size of a peanut m & m is developing. i always kept short hair my whole life so it’s not like i’m making a drastic change, but does shaving your head actually make a person look younger or atleast their present age if their balding is to the point where it starts to take away from your “teenage” look?
