Male Baldness Info

My hair is EVERYTHING! I cannot loose it when i get older!
The father of my mother has lost a lot of his hair. My dad also has male pattern baldness…. The father of my mothers mother had a full head of hair at 90.
Currently, I have medium thick hair (not really on the thinner or thicker side, if anything, the thicker) and my hairline is what it has been, sort of an M shape (not a widows peak, but it has a curved shape.sorta liek this guy: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h… )
So….. what do I do? I know science is developing a ton, and that it is still progressing a lot, but is there something i can do to my hair at a young age that will let me keep it?
ALSO: Lets say theres nothing I can do, and the time comes, and I start to loose it, could i have my hair turned into a wig before the hairline receds, then when i loose hair, i can just wear that?
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS THING!!!! I CANNOT BE A BALD MAN!!!!

im a 18 year old girl and im so desperate im willing to take that last step ( @ least its seems like the last one), i had hair loss since the 6th grade and cant imagine life with hair. its the sad truth but im ready to just shave it all and hope and pray it will come thicker or fuller. any advice? doctors dont no shet, they claim it’s male pattern baldness and been recommending rogaine since i was 13!
