Male Baldness Info

I straightened my hair for about a year with an iron. I am a 16 year old, male, athletic, healthy. I have recently shaved my head to a number 3 and the hair seems to be not AS thin, BUT it is still thin on the top of my head (crown area) the rest of my hair is very healthy. I am worried that I might be going bald , there are NO signs of baldness on my mothers side of the family. WHAT SHOULD I DO! AM I GOING BALD? help me please.

ive noticed in the past few months that my hair is getting thinner than it used to be. why is that? i thought male pattern baldness is hereditery? and nobody in my family unless there age 50 or above have any baldness what so ever. is there other reasons for my hair thinning? its not bald. its just starting to get thinner for some reason. Please help!!
