I am very stressed out and I think that has to do with it BUT I have many questions…I went to the dermatologist and he did not even look at my scalp…he just said “I know why you’re here for, you’re balding right?” He did not look at my hair at all or anything…and gave me the prescription for Propecia!
First of…I am really stressed. In the last year and a half…I started noticing my hair thinning, and now it got to the point where I can actually see my scalp in the whole upper area. The other thing I’ve always had a problem with is really bad itching, dandruff and red spots on my scalp. I did started taking Propecia but because is so expensive…I did not buy it anymore.
I’ve been doing a little research and I’ve found out that besides hereditary baldness there are other medical conditions that might make you loose your hair. First…hereditary obviously, Psoriasis on the scalp (which is itching, dandruff and red spots like I have).and the last one is Alopecia a medical condition…not really sure.
I gues that I am so confussed and stress because I don’t know if I am loosing my hair because of hereditary reasons, or the other problems listed before. The other thing is that if it was hereditary…it would be a much slower process than a year and a half dont’ you think? I really think that stress has to do with it.
What should I do? should I try another dermatologist…I really hate when they do that…they don’t even check your scalp and they act like you are freaking out too much about hair loss…when they say it’s completly normal…how can they know what my problem is if they don’t check it.
